Turkey Rank 7th To Live And Work

According to a new survey conducted by the British transnational bank HSBC, Turkey has ranked seventh for expatriates among 163 countries around the world. The survey examines countries in terms of quality of life, work and life balance, financial revenues and family life, which is regarded as one of the most comprehensive surveys of expatriates.

According to the survey, 62% stated that the quality of life in the Turkey exceeds that of their own home countries. 60% of the expats in Turkey also said that they have a good work-life balance, in that they have enough time for their private lives and hobbies outside of work.

When it came to the subject of safety and security, 69% of the expats reported that they feel safe in Turkey and Turks are hospitable and friendly to foreigners who live or visit the country.

On the other hand, Turkey’s take first place in the survey in the categories of “ease of settling in” and “cultural, open and welcoming”.

Turkey’s ranking of seventh place is a huge and significant jump from its ranking of 24th place last year. It comes after Switzerland, Singapore, Canada, Spain, New Zealand and Australia.

Some of its ambitious aims that it is working to achieve within the next three years is to be among the top ten economies of the world, reduce the unemployment rate to just five per cent, and to make Istanbul one of the top global financial hubs for global industries.
