How to Obtain Residence Permit in Turkey
A residence permit is a permit system that must be obtained for every foreign national who will stay in Turkey for more than 90 days. If this permit is not used within 6 months of the receipt of the residence permit, the cancellation of the residence permit will be on the agenda and will no longer be valid. Obtaining a residence permit is done through the online system. It is possible to apply for a residence permit through the online website of the immigration administration via e-residence. To make the application, the button “I am applying for a residence permit for the first time” on the e-residence page should be used. The application form directed through this button must be filled in with complete and correct information. Then, an appointment should be made for the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to complete the application process. This appointment can be made via e-residence. Afterward, the completed form should be sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management together with the necessary documents listed under the heading “Documents Required for Obtaining a Residence Permit” by printing out and signing. In addition, this application form, which is printed and signed, provides the right to legally reside in Turkey until the appointment period. The results of the application are announced within 90 days at the latest and the residence permit document is sent via PTT Cargo.
As a result of the application made via e-residence to obtain a residence permit, an appointment is made to the Directorate of Migration Management and the necessary documents are submitted. Steps to Obtain Residence Permit in Turkey
